New Balance Fresh Foam Vongo Performance Review

The well-known New Balance is very popular among the running lovers. What’s more, along with the ASICS, SAUCONY, BROOKS, NIKE, ADIDAS and MIZUNO, the seven brands occupy the majority of the international running shoes market share with each having advanced running shoes technology. In recent years, New Balance’s main running shoes can be divided into three lines, the Fresh Foam, the Vazee and the NBx. And today’s protagonist is the New Balance Fresh Foam Vongo which, as you could have guessed from its name, belongs to the  Fresh Foam series. Besides, it is also the only shoe in the series that has won the Best Debut awarded by the famous American magazine, RUNNER S WORLD. 

Here is the shoes’ performance review. Regarding its appearance, honestly, I was not so surprised as did my friends because I thought the shoes were so ordinary and its colorway was not novel, either. And to tell the truth, if it is put with the many running shoes of today, I certainly wouldn’t fall in love with it at the first sight. But anyway, this is to a great extent depended on the subjective views.

What’s worse, the shoe also impresses me by the chunky appearance which made me think it was heavy. However, it was only when I grabbed it on my hands that did I know I was wrong. Actually, it is much lighter than the other shoes with the same support performance. When I actually put the shoes on, I quite forgot the negative impressions about it and just couldn’t wait to exercise.

The vamp adopts the breathable 3 d mesh fabrics. And indeed the vamp’s air permeability is like a “double-edged sword”: you’ll feel very cool underfoot in hot summer days, but in autumn and winter, you’ll experience the piercing wind which seems to tear your skin. So this is not recommended in winter.

The vamp and the tongue with average thickness are not integrated. And there are shoelace buckles that prevent the tongue from moving upward. As soon as I put on the shoes, I felt the inside of the shoes was spacious so that my toes could move freely.

The logo “N” and the strip in the heel are both reflective which are quite obvious at night, thus protecting runners from possible danger.

Looking from the outside, there seems no supporting material in the arch. However, the supporting tech used here is not the dual-density midsole, such as Duomax of ASICS GT2000, or the rigid plastic support, such as Nike Air Zoom Structure 19. Instead, by increasing the thickness of the midsole and adopting the compact triangular structure(as shown in the image below), the support performance of the shoe is improved greatly.

And the outer side of the midsole is the honeycomb structure(as is also shown below) which is here to provide comfortable cushioning. Such design can retain the superior cushioning and feedback  of the Fresh Foam material, and at the same time provides sufficient support for the arch.

For the outsole, it adopts the foam rubber which is patterned with grains of quite different density. However, as the gaps between the grains are a bit big, grits or stones might easily get stuck in them.  Therefore, this requires frequent cleaning, which would be a little troublesome.

The structure of Vongo has been determined by its poor flexibility. But despite that, some buyers still observed that the outsole can offer a nice grip and is also wear-resident notwithstanding the big gaps.

Overall:

In short, the New Balance Fresh Foam Vongo is a pair of stable shoes with nice support while at the same time offering enough cushion. And for those who want to pick a pair of shoes with sufficient protection, this New Balance Fresh Foam Vongo might also be a good choice for them.

Newton Gravity V Performance Review

Nowadays, running has become an integral part of many people’s life and because of this, all kinds of running shoe brands have also emerged to meet people’s needs. But this is good news for us since we can have more choices as well as more experiences. And among the many brands, Newton is certainly a superior one. As one of the most professional and niche brands in the field of running shoes, Newton has gone through a 12-year research and development process and dedicated a creative running shoe for the majority of runners, whose excellent performance has made it the first choice of many runners in the world. It is the Newton Gravity V .

The Newton Gravity series has ushered in its fifth edition in 2016. This new version still adopts the seamless material in the vamp, whose design looks nicer than the previous ones, however. There are also more colorways for you to choose from, and the durability, of course,  has also  been greatly improved. Another key improvement is in the shoe tongue, which makes the shoe more comfortable and breathable.

The Newton   shoes are positioned as the “serious runners”. No matter how bright the shoes’ colorways are, their performances are always online, not in the least affected by their outside impressions perceived by most people. But since there are more colorways to choose from, it should be mentioned that all the colorways are visually shocking but remains nice at the same time.

The Newton Gravity V’s appearance is actually cool, exuding the air of superiority. For the vamp, it is the traditional mesh material which can ensure breathability. The tech signs and number indicating height difference on the outside of the midsole are quite ordinary, but when it comes to the outsole you are mostly likely to get surprised as I did.

The whole shoes are indeed very good. The leather in the toe allows our feet to move inside the shoes and the woven fabric of both the inside and outside of the front part is very soft. As you can see, there are reflective strips designed on both the inside and outside of the toe and heel of the shoe, which is the most obvious of Newton logos and can ensure the safety of running at night.

With respect to the shoes’ tech, Newton Gravity V  is expecting to bring us a different experience through its lightness and distinguishing techs. Therefore, it has spared no efforts in improving its techs. The core update is that the height difference between the front and the rear is only 3mm, which can help us develop right running postures.

The most distinctive part of the shoes is in the front foot where there protrude several lumps which is the P.O.P, the core tech of this brand.

The Newton Gravity V has been changed in the tongue and the change can increase the wrapping and make the shoe more comfortable and breathable. And with the insoles that are made of light foaming material which is more elastic than the double density insoles, the whole shoes are made all the more comfortable.

The only pity is that Newton shoes seems to be born for running, so they’re not the best choice for walking around.

Overall:

On the strength of my testing and experiences, this Newton Gravity V is more than suitable for running especially for long-distance running. With its excellent techs and materials used, the shoes are sure to offer you a very nice and unforgettable experience.

MIZUNO WAVE RIDER 23 Performance Review

More than two decade ago, due to the limit of media information and economic level, most running lovers did not have a professional research about running shoes and they didn’t actually understand the relevant knowledge of running shoes. But the Mizuno was the on top of the running shoes field because of such features as stable, comfortable and durable. However, as time passed by, the running shoes market has changed and  Mizuno has lost its influence. But this doesn’t mean its running shoes are inferior or unreliable. Since its inception in 1997, the Wave Rider, which was an important series of the brand, has been favored by many professional runners. So at the time the MIZUNO WAVE RIDER 23 was released, many asked whether this model would continue the classic Wave Rider series. And here is the answer.

The Mizuno Wave Rider 23 here is all black. Simple and monotonous as it looks, it is still cool and nice. But different people have different views in this respect. Some may not like it while others may prefer such a simple design without much decoration.

MIZUNO WAVE RIDER 23 is slender, so it might not be that friendly to wide-footers.

The vamp of Mizuno Wave Rider 23 is made of traditional breathable mesh. Compared with the previous edition, the mesh is more delicate. And the protective layer of the toe has also been changed into a built-in solid TPU, which provides good protection for our toes.

The Mizuno LOGO covers the entire eyelet and extends to the rear part of the shoe. Actually, the combination of the two forms a certain support for the upper and the arch while the vamp and the upper use different weaving techniques to enrich the its texture.

The Mizuno Wave Rider 23 has a built-in rigid TPU at the rear, which is conducive to landing stability by offering a moderate support. And the black and gray horizontal markings indicate the shoe’s identity. 

The foam filling of the muzzle and tongue of the Mizuno Wave Rider 23 is firm and full but not chunky and will not affect its appearance.

 

There is a saying that “The midsole is the soul of a pair of  running shoes.” In other words, it is the midsole of a running shoe that matters. Although other setups are also important, the midsole plays a key role of evaluating a shoe’s overall performances. The Mizuno Wave Rider 23 adopts the standard midsole that were also equipped in the previous several editions. The full-foot U4ic and the U4ICX double density shock-absorbing material, between which a CloudWave is placed, are both of great help in relieving shock during running.

The CloudWave is the core tech of this brand. It provides us with long-lasting and stable  cushioning. On top of that, with the U4IC  and the U4ICX, the three combined can give us  nice running experiences.

The Mizuno Wave Rider 23 retains the X10 carbon rubber outsole, which is a high wear-resistant tech. The durability of Mizuno running shoes should be largely credited to the X10.

The cushioning layer and shock absorbing insoles  further add comfort for users.

A single shoe of Mizuno Wave Rider 23 of size 9.5 weighs 290g which is not that lightweight, but is acceptable for the massive runners.

Overall:

The Mizuno Wave Rider 23 retains the core structure of the previous editions of Wave Rider series. And since only the shoe’ vamp is changed, there is no big differences in its overall performances. It still continues the characteristics of this series, so this Mizuno Wave Rider 23  can be suitable for long distance running and daily jogging.

Newton Fate 2 Performance Review

When knowing the availability of  the Newton Fate 2 , I was very thrilled and just could not wait to have one because I knew at the very beginning that in order to run efficiently and comfortably, it was a must to equip a pair of good running shoes. So here is the review of this Newton Fate 2.

Before looking closely at the shoes, I want to mention something of the brand. Newtons have always been known as a niche and professional running shoe brand, and said to be a great treasure of the United States. The company has used Newtonian mechanics principle perfectly and it take the company 12 years to develop the shoes with 9 US patents. Compared to the long-established predecessors like New Balance, Asics and Brooks, there must be something unique about the niche and professional brand that has gained a foothold in the face of this fierce competitive market.

According to the official introduction, FATE 2 is a multifunctional running shoe with a more breathable upper and talus elastic liner for better foot protection. The slightly tilted front thruster fully demonstrates the effect of Action/Reaction Technology, which offers traction in startup, thus making walking and running easier and more comfortably. Coupled with solid  cushioning at the front and the rear, the shoe gives you a consistently perfect running experience.

Looking back at the previous versions of Newton shoes, I found that all the colorways of its shoes were visually shocking. As for this one, it is the classic colorway of red and black. Though it is eye-catching and coquettish, you can easily deal with all kinds of rugged roads.

My feet are wide and if the last of a shoe is narrow, I will ditch it immediately no matter how good or how cool it is. But this Newton Fate 2 is just right for runners with wide feet. The vamp uses a new seamless hollow woven mesh with no stitching to provide the best comfort and air permeability for us. The details of the shoes are also seriously and carefully designed, including the words and logos on the shoe which makes it all the more beautiful.

With respect to the toe, there is the leather which is used to offer more support while the black rubber is here to protect our toes and enhance durability. Such design will only result in a more wear-resistant and practical performance of the shoe. At the two sides near the toe part are made respectively 4 holes to improve air permeability, keeping the inside of the shoes dry and comfortable.

The design of the tongue is actually quite beautiful. When we put on the running shoes, the tongue of the shoes is automatically exposed. And the words “Newton Fate 2” is very obvious. In addition, the tongue is very light and breathable, helping us to quickly dissipate heat during the running, and will not wear our feet. 

The “4.5” in the heel indicates the height difference between the front and the rear parts, which helps improve cushioning performance and develop good running posture. Besides, the heel and the toe both adopt the reflective design which plays a significant role in night running. After all, more and more white collars will choose to run at night. Therefore, I think such design is actually awesome.

The most unique aspect of Newton running shoes lies in their front foot design. The P.O.P(Point of Power) is a proprietary design  of the Newton running shoes. Actually, Newton has designed three P.O.P. forefoot thrusters with different shapes and efficiencies. Respectively , they are the P.O.P 1, the P.O.P 2 and the P.O.P 3. Overall:

To summarize, if asked to describe the shoes with only one word, I would say that the shoes are superior, and if asked to make a recommendation for running, I would then highly suggest this one, Newton Fate 2. In short, it has all the necessary performances that are required of a running shoe. What’s more, it has the exclusive tech that is so helpful and compelling.

Salomon Speedcross 4 Performance Review

The place of running for many runners ranges from rugged mountain roads, boulevards to  grasslands and even coasts. While perceiving and enjoying the nature, the changing road conditions also require us to adjust to the environment from time to time. Therefore, it is of great importance to have a pair of excellent off-road shoes to protect us. So here I’d recommend one that, on the strength of my experience, can be said to be superior among the many off-road shoes. That is the Salomon Speedcross 4.

Salomon has a very high profile in the cross-country community and has a lot of followers and of course I’m one of them. In fact, Salomon has a wide range of cross-country running shoe series, including the top professional S-Lab series. But for the SPEEDCROSS series, its shoes feature excellent grip on soft terrain, making it a classic off-road shoe series.

As its name suggests, the word “SPEED” means to be fast and “CROSS is to cross the different kinds of roads. So we can see from this that the shoes were initially designed to be a pair of fast off-road running shoes.

 

As regards the shoes’ appearance, from my personal perspective, it looks quite professional. And with the red vamp and bright gold outsole, the shoes look all the more cool and compelling.

Around the toe part, there is leather-like material and PU coating which effectively protects our toes from being hit by external objects, allowing the us to easily and effectively deal with the very complex off-road environment. Additionally, the vamp has the reflective patch that is specially designed for night running to avoid any possible danger.

Besides, this SPEEDCROSS 4 simply distinguishes itself with the outsole design. The outsole is indeed very different from the ordinary ones. It is patterned with many an arrow protruding designs and it is the design that maintains excellent grip in the muddy and moist roads. Also, thanks to such design , the shoes won’t sink into the mud deeply.  But my words have somewhat failed me. I think that only when you go cross country in the shoes will you know  the advantages of this design that is particularly prominent in the process of downhill. At the same time, due to the moderate hardness and density of these particles, they absorb shock perfectly and protect us very well while at the mean time ensure comfort to the maximum extent .

So as to bring us more convenience, Salomon has equipped the shoes with a QuickLace system, which allows us to put on and take off the shoes easily.

Some parts of the vamp adopt the mesh cloth that can prevent sands or gravels from entering the shoes.

The insole here is the Ortholite which is bacteriostatic and can serve as  deodorant. And it can be divided into the PU and the rubber part. It is also very comfortable and soft and is very breathable and can help keep dry the inside of the shoe.

With the shoes, actually, I feel like a duck to water. The shoes’ excellent wrapping makes me feel like it has integrated with my body.

 

Overall:

To summarize, to have a nice off-roads experience, it is necessary to cop a pair of excellent shoes. And the reasons I recommend this to you is that the toe is designed so well that it plays an important role in protecting our feet; the vamp also protect us well and the outsole offers us superior grip; the materials used in the shoes make it much easier for us to clean the shoes; last but not the least, there are reflective patches both in the front and the heel, thus avoiding any possible danger.

adidas Supernova Performance Review

Many running events were delayed or suspended over the past special year, and because of this, many people were also restrained from running outdoors and some even gave up exercising. However, because of the marathon, many people have begun to resume running to better prepare for the match. And one of the basic conditions for preparing running games is to have a pair of good running shoes. So here I bring the adidas Supernova to share some of its information with you.

Firstly, with regard to its appearance, there are a number of different colorways available. And this one I picked is the fluorescent pink which is said by many buyers to be coquettish when it is compared with other colorways. But on the other hand, the pink one, from my perspective, is brighter,  more stylish and eye-catching. And most importantly, I think it will make me more confident when I am running for some challenging matches. But this is just kind of psychological effect.

 

The vamp is made of woven breathable mesh cloth and in the different areas  of the vamp are fabric with different density. For the front vamp, there is the mesh cloth with larger air holes which ensure sufficient air permeability. What’s more, the stitching on the vamp can to a great extent improve the vamp support and comfort.

The three black stripes at the side vamp is always that iconic and eye-catching, which forms a contrast to the pink vamp. They are distinguishing and can increase support though, they also reduce air permeability of the vamp. But this is so negligible that I am willing to write it off.

The tongue adopts an all-in-one design, which can avoid the displacement of the tongue during our the movement. It also has a laminated structure, which can make the shoes hug our feet better, but its air permeability is at the mean time affected to some extent. On the upper part of the vamp is the plastic logo which may rub our ankles during running.

 

The midsole adopts the  BOUNCE which is a little lighter than the Boost and provides a lot of feedback during our running, making us more comfortable when exercising .

 

At the heel of the shoes is added with BOOST material, which is relatively light and elastic. Actually, when I am exercising, I can clearly feel the rebound from  underfoot, especially from the heel.

And for the sole, it is made of anti-slipping and wear-resistant rubber, which can effectively improve the durability of the sole. At the same time, the grid anti-skid pattern design adopted, which is mentioned earlier, can increase the anti-slipping performance. The pattern of the sole is hallowed, which can provide good grip for us in different kinds of roads.

 

As a pair of running shoes, this adidas Supernova is in fact superior considering its overall performances. And as a pair of running shoes, adidas Supernova is also outstanding in terms of its weight. When we are running oblivious of ourselves, it surely won’t bring burden for us and will only be of great help.

Overall:

To summarize, Adidas Supernova’s overall performance is good. The full-foot Bounce and the rear Boost help save energy during running; the outsole can then offer traction to help us run faster. All in all, this is an ideal model for short daily runs, trainings and matches.

UA HOVR Phantom 2 Performance Review

When talking about the midsole cushioning, the first thing that comes to my mind is the classic Nike Zoom X , Asics’s Gel cushioning and  Adidas’s Boost. Then speaking of Under Armour, what do you think of? Actually,  not much is known about its running shoe technology by a lot of people. But as a matter of fact, way back in 2018, Under Armour has launched its new midsole cushioning technology, the UA HOVR. And in August 2020, the UA Hovr Phantom with the new tech has also come to the second version. That is the UA HOVR Phantom 2 .

The UA HOVR Phantom 2 I received here is the entirely black one. It looks quite pure and at the same time very cool. And the first glance at the shoe has made me obsess with it. But if you don’t like this colorway, there are as well other options for you. There are indeed the red, orange, green, white one which are all very fashionable and can very well match our daily dressings.

In terms of the vamp, it is made of an integrated fabric material coupled with the elastic collar, the whole designed like a sock . And thanks to this design, the shoe has a very excellent wrapping and it wraps my feet nicely, and I feel very comfortable wearing the shoes. Simply put, it hugs my feet tightly, thus offering me an excellent stability. What is even better is that the shoe wears so comfortably that I can even wear it without wearing socks.

For a pair of  running shoes, its air permeability is also an important performance index. And for a pair of running shoes to stand out, its air permeability should be excellent. Very chunky as the UA Hovr Phantom 2 looks, it is  actually quite breathable. It has many holes that extend from the toe to the tongue, providing enough ventilation. And of course, in order to ensure adequate stability, the middle and back of the shoe is made of a high-density, inelastic material, which connects naturally the two parts.

The UA HOVR Phantom 2’s biggest upgrade from the previous version is the full-foot UA HOVR cushioning system, which is comprised of an outsole support pad, the UA HOVR foamed sole, the molded midsole veneer, the all-rubber outsole with a powerful grid pattern. Therefore, with the help of this tech, you can experience a rebound  quite different from that brought by other brands. The feedback during running is obvious and sufficient. And as for the outsole, it offers excellent grip and wear resistance, which actually makes the shoes strong and durable.

With respect to the  SpeedForm 2.0 insole which is not mentioned earlier, it is also comfortable as well as adding breathability. Besides, you might have noticed the collar at the heel which makes it easier for me to put on and take off the shoes .

Overall:

What needs to be mentioned here is that since there is no traditional shoe tongue, you’d better tie your shoelaces very tightly before running. Overall, the UA Hovr Phantom 2 is good for jogging and casual training. And if you happen to be considering purchasing the shoes, chances are that you’ll be obsessed with it whose synonyms are comfortable, stable and durable.

Adidas adizero adios Pro Performance Review

With Nike’s NeXT % with thick carbon plates taking up a favorable foothold in all kinds of marathons,  brands are also starting to use carbon plates as a research and development focus for running shoes. But anyway, as the saying goes, “One man’ s meat is another man’s poison.” ; therefore, no matter how good a pair of running shoe is, it is the most suitable one  that is just the best one. And before making a purchase, one is highly recommended to have a try.

The Adidas adizero adios Pro I got here seems to be glowing like the sun. It is the bright fluorescent yellow which I think is more energetic than the fluorescent pink. And you are sure to be the most eye-catching guy wearing the shoes.

What is new here is that there are some innovations in its design.  Adidas has changed its routine design. That is the three stripes has changed from the small ones to almost covering the side vamp, which is quite visually shocking.

The knitted net vamp of the shoes is very thin and there are big gaps between the fibers, which ensures the air ventilation and heat emission during running. And the tongue is directly connected to the lining and sole on both sides, so we won’t be affected by the movement of the tongue when exercising.

A single shoe weighs only 246 grams which is relatively light and brings no burden to our feet. Besides, the heel of the shoe is 39.6mm thick while the forefoot is 29.6mm, with a height difference of 10mm.

Before this Adidas adizero adios Pro, I have also tried the  adizero pro, the boston 9 and the adios 5 before. And they are all bouncy enough that I could obviously feel the feedback underfoot. But this Adidas adizero adios Pro is no less inferior in this respect. It also offers me a very nice cushioning performance.

The Adios Pro looks very similar to the Adizero Pro, which was launched almost around the same time, but the biggest difference between the two lies in the thickness of the two shoes’ soles. And on the other hand, the Adizero Pro also uses Adidas’ traditional LightStrike Boost midsole, while the Adios Pro uses the latest LightStrikePro midsole, which is much lighter and more flexible.

From an objective perspective, this Adios Pro  isn’t like the Nike Fly 3 I copped before; the former actually feels softer and more elastic. On top of the above performances, the shoes also have a nice wrapping. During my testing it, the shoe wraps my feet very well and my feet are also firmly fixed inside.

While the sole differs significantly from other running shoes in that there is no lumpy grains and looks quite smooth, tests on plastic grounds and asphalt roads showed that the anti-slipping performance of shoes is not inferior to other running shoes. However, when the shoes  run into rainy days, it would become another story: the anti-slipping performance would be greatly decreased. And because of this, the shoes are not wear-resistant and won’t last long.

Overall:

As a pair of running shoes with carbon plate, Adidas adizero adios Pro focuses more on helping improve runners’ speed, so its support is relatively inferior. Therefore, it is recommended that runners having weak ankle strength should be more cautious when wearing carbon-plate shoes with thick soles.

Converse All Star BB Evo Performance Review

Like many of you, I am also a loyal fan of the NBA games. And I also watched the NBA playoffs of 2020 which, I am sure, is what a lot of people are concerned about as well. To tell the truth, I’ve been really impressed with the perseverance of the Thunder in this year’s playoffs. On the one hand, they made it to the playoffs under the general underrating. And on the other, they even fought with their rival to the last second . And SGA’s performance is also quite surprising.

Then after the game, some questions ensue. Some may ask, “Is his sneaker a trump card that helped him perform that good?” So with regard to the shoes, here is the review of this Converse All Star BB Evo .

The shoes can be used in almost all kinds of grounds, except for the cement floors. And they are more than suitable for people weighing less than 80KG and those who don’t require too much of the shoes’ cushion. What is equally important is that the shoes are somewhat slim in its shoe type, which mean that they might not be that friendly to wide-footers.

Then here is about its overall performances that really count. To begin with, the shoes look quite like the Converse all star pro bb low. But actually, only when you’ve tried the shoes will you know that there is an immeasurably vast difference between them. Compared with the Converse all star pro bb low, the vamp of Converse All Star BB Evo is a great improvement; the vamp of the former is only enough for daily wearing since it can not offer sufficient support. But here I also want to mention that “Every coin has two sides.”: the air permeability of Converse All Star BB Evo is significantly reduced if compared with the other.

And maybe it is because of the design of the shoelace buckles, I feel the overall wrapping of the shoes are excellent. And as the inner and outer sides are braided with materials of different densities, the outer sides are noticeably stiffer, thus providing a more  obvious support while the inner side is a little softer and more comfortable. 

However, there is a point with which I am not satisfied. That is the filling of the heel looks very thick though( it is indeed very thick on the outside), the inner side of the heel is just of average performance.

Another excellent aspect of its wrapping is the built-in midsole, making the shoes all the more integrated.

In terms of the midsole, it is the built-in React  that is favored by Nike and widely used. When I am playing basketball on indoor courts, I can feel the feedback from the React which is bouncy.

Although the midsole in the rear part is thick, it is not enough and friendly to people with large weight.. But if it is compared with Jordan react elevation, I think it would be better.

With respect to the outsole, I’ve got the hang of it. On outdoor courts, the grip it offers me is considerable and it won’t absorb too much dust. However, if I am to play on inside smooth courts, I would then be a bit worried because I’ve sometimes slipped.

The upturned outsole can provide some support, so I think its anti-rollover protection is enough.

Maybe it’s because of the All Star Pro BB, I actually don’t have high expectations for it, but after some time getting along with it, I knew that it had successfully won my favor. And recently, I always chose it as my comrade in several games.

 

Overall:

Over the several years, I have learned a lesson that the shoes with excellent performances may not be the most suitable for you while some others that only get an average evaluation are indeed very nice. To sum up, it is the most suitable one that is the best one.

A Close Look at Nike Lebron 7 「MVP」

If asked which pair of shoes was the most cost-effective  to be picked up, I would say it is the Nike Lebron 7 「MVP」 which may also be the most worthy one that I think I have bought in the whole year 2020. As a matter of fact, I have bought the shoes way back in June, 2020. And the reason I take it out at this time is to share with you more authentic feelings and experiences.

I had also been thinking about buying another colorway which is in the picture below. However, after serious consideration, I chose the brighter colorway which eclipses the one below.

The shoes are actually launched to memorize the second   MVP won by James in his career in the 2009-2010 season.

It’s safe to say that the shoes can very well reflect all the  feelings of those days. The setups, the materials used and the design in details are all perfectly replicated.

The sneaker’s colorway is mainly a combination of the classic white and wine-red. Such a combination is simple though, it is indeed very eye-catching and memorable.

For the vamp material, it is a large leather in the front part which extends to the rear part. But uncharacteristically, there is no Flywire in this pair of shoes this time, which is mostly adopted by the colorways of Lebron 7. Instead, it is the much softer material that is used here.

The Nike swoosh in the shoe is made of velvet. With the wine-red welt and the gold velvet, the logo is actually very nice.

There are totally 7 sets of shoelace buckles, the last two of which are fixed with a gold reinforcement. And with the red shoelaces, the shoes look all the more beautiful and elegant.

At the back of the shoes, there is the nicest design of the shoes, on which is James’ personal logo at the beginning of his career. To tell the truth, I was even somewhat possessed with it which is rather meaningful.

In terms of the midsole, it was also one of the things I remember that was a hit at the time the shoes were launched. And the reason behind  this is that it was the first time that Nike installed a Max Air360 cushion on a basketball shoe. Therefore, it is no wonder that the tech would cause a stir in the field at that time.

Meanwhile, on top of the Max Air360  is also a cushion which is in replacement of the traditional  midsole. And despite the fact that the tech is widely seen in the sneaker market of today, it was indeed a big hit back then.

On the inside of the vamp, the embroidery of the James logo in other colorways have become the embroidery of the MVP.

And inside the tongue is also embroidered the “08-09” and the “09-10”. It is during the two seasons that James won his two MVP in his career.

On top of that, as can be clearly seen in the picture, there are the words “witness” and “history”  embroidered on each side of the heel.

As for the insole, there are also many details about James.

Whether it is for memorization or for use, the shoes are now at a relatively low price and are available in many shores. So if you are also interested it, why not take a shot?
