For its latest batch of retros, the Cushlon-assisted silhouette has taken on several tonal and muted color combinations, seemingly in an effort to capture the hearts of “dad shoe” enthusiasts. The earth brown dominates the upper via the webbed panelling, heel cage and plastic eyestay support. The grey mesh provides a strong contrast and one that is necessary in order for the shoe’s details to remain visible. Contrast stitching on the toe panels also helps this balance, along with a sky-blue hit featured on the back portion of the sole that nods to the “Oatmeal” release from ’22. Cream laces are threaded above, matching the sail-coloured Cushlon technology that earnt the Vomero 5 its superior cushioning status. Expect the usual branding on this Vomero 5 with the tongue patch and insole “Bowerman Series” logo. The midsole opts for an off-white tone that lets the aforementioned tones revel in the spotlight.
