Description
Dubbed “Nike University”, the brand’s premier basketball silhouette introduces the fictitious alma mater with its own mascot mimicking Syracuse University’s Otto the Orange holding a basketball. Placing the latter atop the tongue, the mascot’s black and orange color palette sets the stage for the ensuing composition, reserving a dominant majority of its upper for jet-black embellishments, filling the midsole, serrated heel counter, tongue construction and medial side Check while the engineered mesh upper proffers hidden hits of orange underneath. Illuminated by way of touching down across the mid-foot Swooshes and perforated heel tab, a seldom “Sail” contrast interjects between the heel’s cushioning system while the trio of tones provides a semi-translucent finish underfoot along the tread.
Jhaymark Laron –
These shoes were comfortable right out of the box and stayed that way during my morning runs around the neighborhood. They gripped my feet well, had a nice bounce, and were responsive to my movements. It’s not as lightweight as other running shoes I’ve had but that’s to be expected because of the thick cushion of the base. I also miss that feeling of the shoes gripping the ground when you run. I’m usually a size 10 with average size feet (not wide or narrow) and thought these fit true to size. I got the black bright crimson combo which is a little more colorful than what I’d usually choose but I was trying to be more fun with my style. Love the mint green but thought there was too much peach around the lace area. I probably will only wear these while running or at the gym with workout clothes. The black version would be great casual, everyday shoes because the design looks good and the shoes are very comfortable.
