Unboxing: Air Jordan 1 Elevated Low

The black and red Air Jordan 1 may be quite different from what we have thought before and it is no exaggeration to hail it as “the most unique Air Jordan 1 in history”. Actually, in the past two years, the brand has created quite a number of different versions of black and red Air Jordan 1 on the basis of this classic colorway. Earlier this year, the Air Jordan 1 “Bred Patent” was released to embrace the new year. But shortly after the new shoes, the Air Jordan 1 Elevated Low was also launched. Now that it is available, it is a must to take a close look at it so that those who are interested in it may make better decisions.

As one of the first colorways of Air Jordan 1, it is needless to say that this black and red is widely enjoyed. The first colorway of this Air Jordan 1 Elevated Low is just the black and red, providing a variety of choices for girls who are crazy for Air Jordan.

The new design has added weight to the popularity of the colorway. Compared with Air Jordan 1 Low, the design of this Air Jordan 1 Elevated Low is a big stride ahead. The most recognizable feature is the super thick sole, which is about 4 cm and is full of temptation for many girls.

The vamp is made of soft high-quality leather material whose outstanding texture can be felt through vision alone, which has successfully retained the essence of the original version and restored the charm of black and red Air Jordan 1 as much as possible.

The heel of the original Wings logo has now been changed to a simple version, with only stitches to outline the silhouette.

As for the built-in Air-Sole, not only has it increases comfortness, but to a large extent enhances the shoes’ cushioning.

The shoes are also characterized with cork insoles, with only black and red featuring the pattern of MJ dunk. On top of that, the black and red also comes with a gold Jumpman metal chain, which adds the air of luxury to it.

Over and above this black and red, there are another two colorways that are euqally inviting. Although they are different in style, they can match very well with our various daily dressings.

For instance, when our clothes are relatively drab, this black and red can be the finishing touch for us, and when we are wearing bright clothes, it can still be icing on the cake.

Warm colors have always been favored by many girls, and the yellow colorway just complied with the trend. From my perspective, Air Jordan 1 Elevate Low to a certain degree resembles to Air Jordan 1 Low, but it is also endowed with more fashionable elements.

Overall:

Having been released on February 19th, the Air Jordan 1 Elevate Low is and will be the source of heated discussion and tantalizing for many AJ fans. Although the shoes have quite a nice looking and attract even a lot of boys, it is, however, specifically designed for girls. Therefore, those interested in the shoes had better act now.

Unboxing: Air Jordan 6

As one of the classic colorways created by Air Jordan, the “North Carolina” blue is as widely enjoyed as the “Chicago” and the “black and red”, which is beyond question. Earlier this year, it has been announced that a pair of “North Carolina” Air Jordan 6 would be released, which, however, was delayed. In spite of that, it will definitely be launched and live up to the waiting of its fans.

The overall appearance of the shoes is eye-pleasing, if not eye-catching. The toe and part of the vamp are complemented by “North Carolina” blue abrasive leather whereas the other parts of the vamp are decorated with white leather.

What’s more thrilling to AJ fans is that there is another colorway of AJ6 besides the above “North Carolina”, the former being more inviting in its appearance. Actually, this one is a player version for the University of North Carolina, from which we can get a glimpse of the brand’s originality and sincerity.

The vamp of this colorway is mostly covered by “North Carolina” blue while the tongue and midsole are coated with darker blue, more visually appealing.

The iconic “North Carolina” embroidery Logo at the heel distinguishes the shoes from others.

The white midsole matches very well with the ivory crystal outsole, which looks very simple but very fashionable at the meantime. From my point of view, it is one of the most nice-looking shoes I’ve ever seen. But regrading a shoe’s appearance, it has always been a matter of opinion.

Overall:

As a pair of shoes that got a lot of attention long before they hit the market, this “North Carolina” blue is set to be the preferential choice of many people, in spite of the fact that many of them are to be disappointed for not getting it. However, since it hasn’t been launched, we still have a ray of hope of copping one pair.

Unboxing: Air Jordan 11 Cool Grey

As one of the most classic shoes of Air Jordan series, Air Jordan 11 has launched many colorways in the past. Among the various colorways, the Cool Grey is a classic representative of enduring freshness. It is safe to say that it embodies the memories of many people’s youth, if not, it is still an important part of their life.

Several months ago, in order to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the birth of Cool Grey, Jordan announced to recreate the colorway and at the same time launched a new leopard colorway of Air Jordan 11 for female. Therefore, here is the article about the two Jordan hits that came out at the end of 2021.

Air Jordan 11 with different colorways are matched with the corresponding shoe box. As for this Cool Grey, it is matched with the traditional hard shoe box. The black and white leopard colorway is also matched with very simple shoe box with black cover and white “body”, reflecting the theme of the colorway.

The appearance of Air Jordan 11, definitely, is nothing new for its fans. The classic structure of the side is so stable like bridge cables that it provides a solid foundation for support of the shoes.

The streamlined shoe body is not only pleasing to the eye, but, on a personal note, can be called in the middle- and high-top basketball shoes as a symbolic one. The shoes, mainly with Medium Grey/White/Cool Grey on the “body”, is to pay tribute to the release of Cool Grey and with patent leather added below the vamp and the ice blue rubber outsole, becomes all the more inviting.

The classicism of Air Jordan 11 lies in its details. That is a balanced proportion of delicate designs and shoe type that together creates a sense of beauty. From the support straps connected with the shoelace system to the use of the upper material, the combination with the high-top body is both recognizable and aggressive in performances instead of being showy and not substantial.

The colorway below adopts the real fur of leopards.

The classic six shoelace holes, with a wide and elastic shoelace, is also one of the iconic features of Air Jordan 11. The words and flying man logo on the middle part of the shoe tongue are more eye-catching in physical vision than in photos.

Back when the Air Jordan 11 was released, it was the nylon shoelace that connected to the shoelace system that sparked the most discussion. However, the nylon shoelaces are directly sewn onto the vamp, forming a complete support system and play a crucial role in the stability of the forefoot. In the 90s when shoes were generally equipped with leather or artificial leather to provide stability, the design of Air Jordan 11 is undoubtedly on the cutting edge.

The tongue is also made of leather and embedded with foam to protect the instep and ensures flexibility of the ankle.

As for the wear resistance of outsole, as I used to own two pairs of Air Jordan 11 for both intense exercise and daily wearing, I think there is no need worrying about its durability.

In the midsole part, in addition to the foaming material covering the whole sole, lightweight Air-sole is also added in the heel as well as the cushioning system of the whole Zoom Air.

The super huge carbon fiber of the midsole is one of the most classic technologies of Air Jordan 11. The high-cost carbon fiber, which has a checkered appearance, is not only eye-catching, but also works well as one of the backbones of the shoe.

Overall:

Over the years, the Air Jordan 11 has become a collectible item for many shoe enthusiasts. Now for the new version, it has also sparkled another passion of fans. Now that this is a rare opportunity, you might as well have a try, or you may have to wait for another 20 years.

Unboxing and Closed Look: Jordan Why Not.5

When I first saw the pictures of Jordan Why Not.5 on the Internet, I was taken aback at it because it looked as if it were my old companion. Previously its leaked photos have also attracted great attention of many sneaker fans. Now that the pictures of the shoes have been released by the official, it is essential to get some knowledge of the shoes before deciding whether to buy it.

There are four colorways of the shoes, all of which, on a personal note, are very showy. But on the other hand, this is one of the aspects that distinguish the Jordan Why Not shoes from others.

The brand-new Jordan Why Not Zer0.5 applies a variety of materials such as organdy and suede to the upper, ensuring breathability while at the meantime enhancing durability.

Although I myself have several pairs of the Jordan Why Not shoes, I was, like many fans, shocked by the bombastic overall appearance of Jordan Why Not.5. There in the shoes are quite a few jagged, asymmetrical designs, which alone are able to make the shoes stand out.

Over and above that, the shoelace system is reinforced with straps, heel TPU, etc., so as to ensure that the foot is firmly attached to the shoes during movement, thus providing professional protection and stability.

The Zoom Air cushion on the front part of the midsole ensures excellent cushioning performance whenever there are breakthroughs, emergency stops or shooting.

According to the official news, each of the four colorways will be released successively between February and April at a price of $150, which is set to excite many fans once again.

Overall:

These four colorways are all eye-catching and recognizable. Apart from their appearances, the upgraded setups in the shoes will also stand the shoe owner in good stead, and might even help reverse the final outcome. This, I think, should be a temptation that is hard to resist.

Unboxing: Jordan Why Not.5

Previously I had a splendid impression of Jordan Why Not.4, and with great expectation I bought this Jordan Why Not.5, hoping that this new sneaker would still be my able helper on court. Here is the brief introduction of the shoes’ setups.

Regarding a shoe’s appearance, it has always been a matter of opinion. Therefore, here I don’t want to express too much personal opinions about the appearance of this Why Not.5.

Compared with Why Not.4, this Why Not.5 is lighter, weighing about 410 grams. The shoelace system also helps make the shoes stand out because of its convenience. Besides, the design of the shoelace system further enhances the shoe’s wrapping performance. When I first wore the shoes, I felt as if I were wearing a pair of particular tight socks that fit tightly to my feet.

The material of its vamp is the sort of lightweight one commonly used in running shoes, which partly accounts for the shoe’s lightness. Actually, the material feels very comfortable and is also friendly to our skin. As is shown in the picture, there are quite a few air holes in the vamp, thus ensuring superb breathability.

In the arch there is the TPU for offering support and anti-torsion, which is common to all the Why Not shoes. The grains of the outsole and the cushion setups of the midsole are both upgraded. In terms of the outsole, it is made of relatively hard rubber, XDR, which, according Nike, can be relatively durable. But with respect to its grip performance, I don’t want to rush to a conclusion for the shoes need some more testing. As for the cushions, the front parts of the soles are installed with a large ZOOM AIR so that the wearer can feel terrific feedback on the forefoot.

Overall:

In a word, Jordan Why Not.5 does have some excellent tech while its overall performance requires some more testing. If you are now considering buying this Jordan Why Not.5, just stay tuned for more performance reviews about it.

Air Jordan 35 Performance Review

Talking about Air Jordan shoes, I always think of the Air Jordan 33 and 34 which I always wanted to pick badly, but this seemed to confirm the saying that “the best is what you can’t get.” However, even though I had always been dreaming about the two shoes and it seemed  I could not own them, it was quite lucky for me that I’ve finally got one pair of Air Jordan 34 by accident. And it was the shoes that stood by me through some difficult times. Now when the series comes to the Air Jordan 35, I am just as excited as I was before. Since I’ve also picked one pair of Air Jordan 35 here, I’d like to share some of its information with you.

“There are a thousand Hamlets for a thousand readers”. In terms of its appearance, different people have different views. Some may think it is ugly while others may think it lovely. For me, I belong to the latter and the fact is the shoe is actually less chunky than it looks in the pictures. And looking from the side, I found the shoes are very nice and match my clothes very well.

When it comes to the setup, it is still the ZOOM in both the front and rear part, but the ZOOM in the rear has been upgraded  compared with the previous version. Besides, the vamp and the shoelace system have also been upgraded. With the upgradation, I’ve found that the wrapping of this Air Jordan 35 is improved accordingly. The size of this pair here is 44.5, but a single shoe weighs less than 400g which is very lightweight. And on the personal level, I prefer this kind of suede and woven composite vamp which is solid enough and offers sufficient support.

As for the cushioning performance, it does agree with me. Since I am about 90kg, I can enjoy the bouncy cushioning easily. But for those who are relatively light, they might require some time to get used to it. One buyer who weighs 70kg observed that the cushion was a bit hard, but it got a little better the next day.

After experiencing the zoom turbo, I want to mention badly that the ZOOM in the front differs greatly from the zoom turbo because the former offers more obvious feedback and more traction.

Sometimes it differs greatly if you pick the wrong size when you are buying shoes. But if you get the right size, the shoes can be a very nice companion. For me, before my purchasing the shoes, I’ve tried many sizes on flagship stores. Therefore, I can feel the vamp hugs my feet very well and I can then enjoy the excellent wrapping.

For the anti-slipping performance, I want to say that I’ve never seen a better shoe that owns such a nice performance. I’ve also observed the KD13, the ZK11, the PG1.5 and many others, but it turned out that only the ZK11 was not affected by the slippery ground. When it comes to the Air Jordan 35, I could even heard it “squeaking”, indicating that it can offer a superior grip. However, it can also absorb some dust and so it requires cleaning sometimes. As for the durability, I do not suggest using the shoes on concrete grounds or grounds with many stones. But since I’ve just got the hang of it for a short period of time, its durability remains a bit unknown and requires some more  tests.

Overall:

In short, I think this pair of Air Jordan 35 can be said to be on top of the field. Just think of its overall performances, you are likely to get astonished at its excellency. And as a pair of sneaker, it has way exceeded the average sneakers in every aspect. Hence, if you have any interest in it, just take a shot.

A Close Look at Jordan One Take 2

I‘ve shared in an article about the Stepback2 previously and also I received much feedback from many shoe fans which made me reflect a lot about the shoes. But here I am  going to talk a bit about another pair of shoes, which is the Jordan One Take 2.

For this pair of Jordan One Take 2, it looks somewhat fancy and actually a bit eye-dazzling from the outside. But anyway, let’s take a closer look at the shoes’ setups that really matter.

My second impression of the shoes, besides the first impression of its appearance, was that the shoes were super light. A single shoe of size 9 weighing 358g can be said to be an excellent job done by the brand. Compared with ZK6 Protro 9 of the same size which weighs 350g, this Jordan One Take 2 is really an excellency. In other words, it was on par with one of the lightest shoes of its day.

There is also the lightest one among the many versions of Westbrook Signature shoes. That is the Westbrook 4 which weighs 374g, making it very suitable for people who are relatively light.

Therefore, from the above facts we can tell that Jordan has really done a tremendous job in controlling the weights of  its combat shoes and is always making self-improvement. What’s more, the shoes’ lightness doesn’t come at the expense of the reduction of setups, which is obvious to all.

In terms of the shoe type, it is a middle-top version which is also the case for Westbrook 4. Besides, there  is the iconic outsole which can distinguish the shoes from others.

As for the vamp, the materials used are actually diverse. The vamp has adopted a large area of common engineering mesh whereas the two sides of the front foot uses the rubber that serves as reinforcement.

The rear part of the vamp is made of leather material, which is more than suitable for you if you take a liking to cool as well as spirited shoes.

There are entirely 5 sets of shoelace buckles. However, I haven’t got the hang of it yet for I think it requires some more time to get used to it. But with the fact that many shoes’ wrapping performance failed me in the past several years by having too few shoelace buckles, I still hope this One Take2 could dazzle me by its overall performances.

The two large straps in the middle part are the most prominent feature of the vamp, but they do resemble the design of the DAME6.

When it comes to the lining at the heel, it is thick enough that I am sure it  can offer a nice wrapping performance.

And as can be seen from the picture, the upturned outsole extending to the vamp can at the same time provide a certain extent of support.

As regards the midsole, the fan-shaped Zoom in the front part and the full-foot Phylon is quite a Westbrook-style design. In addition, the grooves on the outsole clearly show the area of the air cushion which is larger than that of the Freak2, a pair of signature shoes.

For the outsole, it is made of the commonly-seen XDR rubber, quite a wear-resistant setup.

Overall:

Way back in the days when the One Take1 has just been released, I’ve been told that this series was among the most brilliant ones, and now this One Take 2 has again proven it to us. Actually, from my point of view, both the design and setups of the shoes are superior, making the shoes rather cost-effective. You can also take a shot and surely it won’t fail you.

A Close Look at Air Jordan 11 Adapt

The Air Jordan 11 is always being looked forward to at the end of each year, which seems to be becoming a common phenomenon. And at the end of 2020, as a loyal fan of the series, I was also waiting for its release. And it did live up to the expectations of its fans. On December 12th, the Air Jordan 11 Jubilee has come at the appointed time. Then on December 30th, the Air Jordan 11 Adapt, a modern sneaker that combines the past with the future, was also released. Since I’ve copped one pair of Air Jordan 11 Adapt, I’d like to share some of its information with you.

But different from the previous retro versions, the Air Jordan of 2020 is to bring us brand-new colorways rather than paying tribute to the classic. And looking from the outside of the Air Jordan 11 Adapt, I think it entails more meaning. Some buyers asked that if the Air Jordan 11 Jubilee represents the past, does the Air Jordan 11 Adapt represent the future? From my perspective, I’d say “No! The Air Jordan 11 Adapt just represents the current moment.”

I am sure most of you are familiar with Adapt which was adopted in many excellent Nike shoes in recent years. And it is also widely favored by many sports enthusiasts for it is furnished with an adjustable system that makes the shoes fit almost every wearer. But the fact is the Adapt series did get a lot of attention in its initial sales phase, but was quickly forgotten due to its high price and poor usability, and received little feedback.

The legendary sneaker designer Tinker came up with the idea of a laceless sneaker 26 years ago when the AJ11 was first designed, but the bold idea was scrapped because there was no better technology or material available to replace it.

But more than two decades later, with the Nike Adapt technology growing in maturity, Jordan has turned that idea into a reality, combining a classic look with futuristic technology.

As a matter of fact, I’m looking forward to such a pair of shoes with both nice appearance and outstanding technology, but at the same timeI have some doubts about the positioning and setups of the shoes.

The AJ11 has always impressed me as a retro basketball shoe that can be used for both combats and daily wearing. But with the new technology, the price of the shoes will not be inexpensive. And the upgraded AJ11 Adapt will definitely have some changes in its performances, which remain some more testing however.

Next is about the shoes’ setups. It is known that the Air Jordan 11 adopts the full-foot Air Sole  cushion and a large carbon plate in the arch. But according to the official news, the large carbon plate in the arch has been replaced by TPU that is of similar shape and size.

Although the iconic carbon plate in the midsole was gone,  Nike was smart enough to put carbon fiber in the insoles.

Overall:

In short, both the Air Jordan 11 “Jubilee” and the Air Jordan 11 Adapt are excellent models of Nike. With their superior appearances and remarkable meanings endowed, they are set to be compelling for lots of fans.

A Close Look at Air Jordan XXXV

It’s been 30 years since the Air Jordan V hit the market and what I am looking forward to every year is undoubtedly the official debut of Air Jordan shoes. And I am sure many of you can identify with me. So when the latest Air Jordan XXXV was released, I was quite excited like many of you. Then take a look at the basic information about this one here. The size of this one is US9 EUR42.5 and a single shoe weighs 412g.

Starting with the Air Jordan XXXI five years ago, homage seems to have been the main theme of the AJ shoes in the last five years. So what homage can we expect from the Air Jordan XXXV?

The most obvious is undoubtedly the shoe tongue which impressed me so deeply. Such a huge, straight standing shoe tongue is undoubtedly the most obvious tribute.

Compared to Air Jordan XXXIV, is there any continuation of Air Jordan XXXV? Of course, there is. That is the newly upgraded core technology Eclipse Plate2.0 which is much more prominent.

This technology, which was first used in the Air Jordan XXXIV, has been inherited by the Air Jordan XXXV and it did dazzle me last year. It is beyond question that while maintaining a nice stability, the design also keeps the overall weight of the shoe at a very respectable level.

Although size 9 of Air Jordan XXXV weighs 412 grams, which is a significant improvement compared with size 9 of Air Jordan XXXIV that weighs only 380g, the shoe is not in the least heavy considering the  vamp material and the improved midsole technology.

Although the Eclipse Plate used in the Air Jordan XXXIV last year was thought highly of, it is still imperfect and has some inevitable shortcomings. On the Air Jordan XXXV, the position of the Eclipse Plate is significantly moved back, and its area and thickness are also increased; on top of that, its perfect coordination with the Air cushion greatly decreases the probability of accidents.

The midsole of the shoes also stunned me: the front Zoom Bag+ the rear horseshoe-shaped Zoom Air is, in my opinion, too magnificent to describe.

Although judging from the shoe type, setups, it seems there aren’t flaws in Air Jordan XXXV, there are still new things in it.

One of the new things is the brand new Flightwire which reduces the weight of the upper while providing sufficient support. In addition to that, hidden inside the Flightwire is a reinforced structure called the Kurim, which provides an extra and stable support for the upper.

However, I know that some of you may be thinking that Air Jordan XXXV seems a little too plain and commonplace in its appearance and the colorways are not enough to feast our eyes. But luckily, Air Jordan XXXV will also be available in another four different colorways that embraces three players’ PE colorways.

On November 11, the DNA colorway, which pays tribute to the Air Jordan V Fire Red, is one of my favorites.

On November 30th, Zion Williamson’s PE, the Bayou Boys colorway will be released.

On December 24, the Guo Ailan PE, the Morpho colorway will be released.

On October 21, the WARRIOR colorways will be released.

Overall:

For this pair of Air Jordan XXXV, there are quite different views. Some think highly of its high-end setups while other are complaining about its appearance. But all in all, I think for a shoe to stand out in this field, it is the shoe’s overall performance that counts. So let’s wait and see what excellence would Air Jordan XXXV bring to us.
